The Prosecutor's Office has closed the largest Russian tracker torrents.ru

18 February 2010 years now “Ru-Center” (www.nic.ru) without warning, and of any notice had been suspended the domain delegation TORRENTS.RU. According to information from “Ru-Center” “TORRENTS.RU Delegate Domain Regulation suspended under investigation department of Chertanovskaya district prosecutor of Moscow 16.02.2010g”.

 

B “Ru-Center” request sent, but, very likely, that clarification will take some time, during which the address torrents.ru will be unavailable.

 

In this regard, we were forced to urgently change the domain name on rutracker.org.

 

Technically, this means that to continue the exchange of information you need to change the addresses of trackers in already downloaded torrent files from bt.torrents.ru to bt.rutracker.org, (instead of bt there may be bt2, bt3 and bt4) or download the torrent files again (they will have a new address tracker).

 

All other forum links will be changed automatically., however, you may need to re-enter your username and password when entering the forum, so that the browser remembers the new address.

 

 

 

Since domain torrents.ru not available, and it was unregistered from DNS servers, then it would be necessary to download all torrents, so that the new tracker address fits into them.

 

I did not download all torrents, because it's long and dumb,but just added to the file “C:\WindowsSystem32driversetchosts” (this is a plain text file, opens with a notebook) and added to the end of such records
